Broken down on the Dartford Crossing?

Where we are coming from

Our base is Dartford, Kent. The crossing carries the A282 and joins the M25 on either side of the river, so the southern approach is a short run for us rather than a cross-county trip.

Around 30 minutes to Dartford, the Dartford Crossing and the nearby M25, traffic and availability permitting. For everywhere else, an exact ETA is given on the phone.

What we ask you on the phone

Three answers get the truck to the right side of the water first time. Which carriageway you are on. Whether you are on the bridge or in the tunnels. Whether you are sitting in a live lane.

Then we ask what the vehicle is and what it is doing — turning over, rolling, steering, keys in hand or not. That decides whether it can be driven onto the bed or needs the winch and skates.

Then it goes on the bed

Your vehicle is winched or driven onto our own flatbed, strapped down, and taken where it needs to go — a garage, home, a body shop or a buyer. All four wheels leave the road, so nothing is added to the mileage or dragged on a damaged axle.
