Terms & conditions
Last updated: September 2026
These terms apply to work carried out by Urban Bear Ltd (trading as Urban Bear Recovery), company number 16206801, based in Dartford, Kent.
Quotes and prices
Recovery from £50 and no hidden fees. This is a starting price, not a fixed rate. The price for your job depends on distance, the vehicle, its condition and the access available at collection and delivery. We confirm the price with you before we set off. If the situation on arrival is materially different from what was described — for example the vehicle will not roll or cannot be reached — we will tell you the revised price before continuing and you are free to decline.
Arrival times
Arrival times are estimates given in good faith and depend on traffic, weather and availability. Around 30 minutes to Dartford, the Dartford Crossing and the nearby M25, traffic and availability permitting. For everywhere else, an exact ETA is given on the phone.
Your vehicle and your responsibilities
- You confirm that you own the vehicle or are authorised to instruct its movement.
- Please tell us about existing damage, missing keys, low ground clearance, modifications, non-rolling wheels or anything else that affects loading.
- Remove valuables and personal items before collection. We are not responsible for items left inside the vehicle.
- Someone must be available to accept delivery, or you must authorise us to leave the vehicle at an agreed location at your risk.
Insurance
We carry Public Liability £5,000,000 and Goods in Transit £50,000. Goods in Transit cover applies to your vehicle while it is in our care during loading, carriage and unloading, up to that limit. We are happy to confirm our cover before you book. We do not provide off-road or field recovery, and we are not part of the AA, RAC or any recovery network.
Payment
Payment is due on completion unless we have agreed account terms in writing. Accepted payment methods are confirmed when the job is booked.
Cancellation
You may cancel at no charge before the truck is dispatched. If we are already en route or on site, a reasonable charge may apply to cover the journey made. Consumers have the statutory right to cancel a distance contract within 14 days, except where you have asked us to start urgent work immediately and that work has been carried out.
Liability
We carry out our work with reasonable skill and care. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else which cannot lawfully be limited. Your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 are not affected.
Complaints and governing law
Please raise any problem with us first on 07780 828061 or gikursu@gmail.com — most issues are resolved quickly. These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales and subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of its courts.
