We reach Grays through the Dartford Crossing, so the honest answer about timing is that it depends on the crossing, not on the distance. Twenty-one minutes is a clear run. When the northbound tunnels are queuing, or a restricted vehicle has closed one of them, it is longer — and we will tell you that on the phone rather than after you have waited.
Being based on the Kent side and crossing north is unusual — most operators work one bank or the other.
