Longfield is about twelve minutes from our base, out along the A2. Urban Bear Recovery covers Longfield, New Barn and the lanes around them, day and night.
This is village and lane territory rather than town roads. Several approaches are single track with passing places, and a flatbed with a car on the back needs somewhere to stop that does not block the lane behind it. Tell us the nearest wide spot or field entrance and we will load there.
Longfield calls are usually driveway collections and non-starters rather than motorway breakdowns — project cars, vehicles that have failed an MOT, or something that has sat long enough for the brakes to seize. None of that is a problem. A car with no keys, flat tyres or locked brakes still goes on the bed with skates and the winch.
