The historic centre is the awkward part — the High Street and the lanes off it are narrow, cobbled in places, and closed to through traffic at times. A flatbed will not follow you in. If your vehicle has stopped there we agree a loading point on the nearest road that can take a truck, and winch to it.
Rochester splits neatly into two kinds of call: tight, slow work in the old centre, and fast motorway work on the M2 beside it. They need opposite approaches, which is why we ask where you are before anything else. On the motorway the priority is getting you off it; in the centre it is getting the truck close enough to load without blocking a street.
